So I got lost in myself today. . traveled a road I had never driven before. Curves that started like the sweetest of smiles, opening up to rays of sunshine. Twist and turns just like life. Trees forming canopies stretching and yearning to meet in the middle. Climbed higher still to where clouds broke free like the clouds that cover our hearts. Climbing higher still, lost in the moment. Just listening to the silence of a world stopped in time. Climbing higher still until I touched the clouds. They engulfed me as I drove higher still. Scary to be that high up and scary to not see the drop off from the road. Scary is the unknown. Just like in our lives. Exciting and scary all at once. Coasted back down with driving in and out of curves and sunshine. Hair whipping to the beat of the music, lost in the moment lost in thoughts
I don’t know lots of thoughts about life today…. Everyday we travel the same roads and our hearts yearn for more. May we see the beauty in our journey and always look around the next bend. Expect the unexpected, look forward to the journey and not just the destination.
